Slightly funky good time blues and groovin' rock!
Burnt Orange, formed in early 2010, is a Culpeper-based band that was founded on the enjoyment of playing high energy shows featuring classic rock, blues, and funk music. It consists of three seasoned, but quite happy musicians who have collectively brought their musical experiences together to create a tight, danceable sound.
Paul Warmack, lead guitarist and lead singer, began playing music at the age of 14 and lists his influences as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Steve Perry. Paul has opened shows for Dokken, REO Speedwagon, The Outlaws, and Uriah Heep. In his quest to stretch his vocal limits, Paul took opera voice lessons in 1991. He is also an avid ice hockey player and never misses a chance to shout, "Go Pittsburgh Penguins!!!!".
Mark Miller, bass player and vocalist, is responsible for the funky side of the band. Mark's past musical endeavors include laying down the groove for The Fabulous Potato Heads Rythmn & Blues Band, and Mostly Monkee. Mark considers his talents to be not only musical but in his words, "I'm good for carrying things".
Larry Sappington, drummer and vocalist, began playing drums at the age of 12 (much to the horror of his parents). His past musical endeavors have included work with Bittersweet Band, Blues Farm, The Shack Shakers, and The TeeVee Preacherz. He considers the Burnt Orange gig to be " a really good ride".
