Guests of the Family Adventure Park are expected to adhere to these seven Leave No Trace principles during their visit. Following the Leave No Trace principles helps protect the land we use, and helps ensure that Massanutten will remain a naturally beautiful place for future generations to enjoy.

Plan Ahead and Prepare:
Guests should familiarize themselves with the resort's rules and regulations, as well as the terrain and weather conditions they might encounter. Adequate preparation involves knowing what gear you’ll need and understanding your group’s abilities.

Travel on Durable Surfaces:
Whether hiking, biking, or trail-running, guests should stick to designated trails to minimize their impact on fragile ecosystems. Avoiding vegetation and using the middle of the path helps preserve the natural beauty of the area for future generations to enjoy.

Dispose of Waste Properly:
Guests are responsible for properly disposing of all waste generated during their visit. This includes packing out trash, recycling materials whenever possible, and using designated waste disposal facilities provided by the resort.

Leave What You Find:
It's essential to leave natural artifacts undisturbed for others to discover and appreciate. Guests should resist the temptation to take home souvenirs or disturb the landscape in any way.

Minimize Campfire Impacts:
Guests should use existing fire rings and only burn local firewood to prevent the spread of invasive species. Fires should be kept small, and all traces of the fire should be completely extinguished before leaving the campsite. Additionally, guests should consider alternative cooking methods such as portable stoves to minimize their impact on the environment.

Respect Wildlife:
Observing wildlife from a distance helps minimize stress and disruption to their natural behaviors. Guests should never feed wild animals or approach them for any reason. By respecting wildlife and their habitats, guests contribute to the preservation of biodiversity within the resort.

Be Considerate of Other Visitors:
Practicing good etiquette and respecting the experiences of others enhances everyone's enjoyment of the resort. Guests should refrain from engaging in activities that may disturb the peace and tranquility of the natural surroundings.
