Fall at Massanutten feels a little like stepping into a storybook. Set in the Shenandoah Valley and within easy reach of Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, the resort puts you close to some of the country’s most breathtaking leaf-peeping. By October, the mountain glows with color, the air turns crisp, and every chairlift ride, trail walk, and fireside evening feels cozy.

A little planning leaves more time for an autumn escape.

The Family Adventure Park typically operates weekends through fall. Check the current schedule before you visit.
Fall foliage chair lift weekends can sell out in October. Buy tickets online well before you arrive.

The Outdoor Waterpark closes after Labor Day weekend, but the Indoor Waterpark is open year-round.
Keep an eye on the resort event calendar for seasonal favorites like Fall Festival, featuring live music, family-friendly activities, and more ways to celebrate the season.

Western Slope trails are on private resort property. A Resort Recreation Pass, Gold Card, or Resort Employee ID is required for trail access.
Fall weather in the mountains can change throughout the day, so bring layers for cool mornings and evenings.
