Petting Farm and Pony Rides Open Saturday - Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 3pm
540.289.6152 | Woodstone Meadows Stables & Petting Farm

Set out on a guided trail ride along the base of Massanutten Mountain, where wooded trails open to mountain views and every turn brings a new stretch of scenery. Settle into the saddle, follow the rhythm of the trail, and experience the mountain at a slower pace - through the trees, across the landscape, and away from the usual resort bustle. Trail guides are $75 per person and provide instruction before and during the ride and match each guest with an appropriate horse, making the experience welcoming for first-time riders while still delivering a memorable sense of adventure.
Minimum age for trail rides: 10 years old

Minimum height for trail rides: 4'8" (56 inches)
Each participant must sign a liability release form at check-in.

Maximum weight: 220 pounds. All riders are weighed upon arrival.
Sturdy footwear required. No sandals or clogs permitted.

Helmets are provided and mandatory for all riders.

Make time for a visit with the animals while you’re at the stables. Petting farm admission is $10 per person, with children ages 3 and under admitted free. Operating hours vary by season, so be sure to check the current schedule before your visit.

Little riders can get their first taste of the saddle with hand-led pony rides inside the arena. Gentle, full-size horses are led for two laps around a designated area, giving kids a fun, low-pressure introduction to riding. Pony rides are available for ages 2-10, with a maximum rider weight of 120 pounds. Rides are $10 and follow the petting farm’s seasonal operating schedule.
Prefer to take in the scenery from the passenger seat? Circle M Carriages offers one-hour carriage rides along the scenic trails of Massanutten’s Western Slope. Rides are available for all ages and are $30 per person. Reservations are required. Please call 540.820.7467 for reservations and more information. Visit Circle M Carriages on Facebook.
