The magic of the season comes alive with Massanutten’s newest winter activity, Light Up the Park! Make memories with your friends and family as you experience the light displays at the Outdoor WaterPark. Sip hot cocoa as you walk through the snowflake tunnel, play in the interactive orb field, or pose for pictures on the ice throne. The dancing tree show is something you won’t want to miss.

Light Up the Park! hours may be subject to change due to weather conditions.
Tickets will be available for purchase every 30 minutes starting at opening until one hour prior to close. Guests must check-in during the time block purchased and can stay until closing.
Advance rates are only available online and must be purchased at least one day in advance. Dates and times are subject to selling out. Buy early to secure your spot and save!

Q: Does everyone need to purchase a ticket to enter?
A: Almost everyone needs a ticket to enter. Light Up the Park! offer Junior (Ages 3 – 12) and Adult (Ages 13+) tickets. Ages 2 and under are free and do not require a pre purchased ticket to guarantee admission.
Q: Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
A: It is strongly recommended that tickets are purchased in advance online as it is highly anticipated that most Entry Time Session will sell out, especially around the holidays. Each Entry Time Session has a limited number of tickets, purchase your ticket(s) now. As a bonus, online tickets are a lower rate than those offered at the gate.
Q: If I purchased tickets for the 7:30 – 8:00 PM Entry Time Session can I enter Light Up the Park! before that time?
A: Unfortunately, no. Entry Time Sessions are designed to control the flow of how many people are entering at once.
Q: If I purchased tickets for the 6:00 – 6:30 PM Entry Time Session, how long can I stay and enjoy Light Up the Park!
A: You can stay until Light Up the Park! closes for that evening.
Q: Will there be food and beverages available?
A: Yes, The Chill Grill Slide Side will open serving snacks and beverages. A hot chocolate sounds delicious. For guests looking for a full meal, we encourage you to plan to visit Splash’s Bar & Grill during your trip to Light Up the Park!
Q: Will Light Up the Park! not open as scheduled or close unexpectedly?
A: The goal is to open and operate as schedule through the season, but inclement weather and the unexpected can impact operations and we prioritize guest and employee safety. If Light Up the Park! is unable to open or operate as scheduled notice will be posted on Massanutten Resort’s Facebook page as well as on Light Up the Park! webpage and full refunds will be processed.
Q: Is Light Up the Park! accessible?
A: Light Up the Park! is located at the Outdoor WaterPark. The light experience is designed to be enjoyed from the concrete walkways throughout the outdoor park. The entrance area, while flat, is on gravel.
