If you’re visiting Massanutten in the wintertime, don’t miss the chance to hit some of the best slopes in the state of Virginia! At 2,922 ft. of elevation, Massanutten is home to wide groomed trails, a dedicated learner’s area, terrain parks and night skiing. Skiers and riders who visit Massanutten will have access to 70 skiable acres, including 14 runs serviced by 7 lifts.

If skiing and snowboarding aren’t your cup of tea, check out the tubing park or hit the ice skating rink.

School's Out Special 
Students, their parents, school faculty, and staff who are out of school due to inclement weather can spend 8 hours skiing or snowboarding at Massanutten at reduced rates.

  • 8-Hour Slope-Use Ticket  |  $40
  • 8-Hour Equipment Rentals  |  $20

College Days
Starting January 2 through March 1, college students can ski or snowboard at a discounted price on Wednesdays and Fridays with valid college ID.

20% Off Military Discount
Every day on our ski slopes.

  • To celebrate our military members, Massanutten Resort offers 20% off lift tickets to active military, non-active military, and veterans. Military cardholder must be present for purchase. Not to be combined with any other offer.

January "Learn a Snow Sport Month" Pathway Special
Monday - Thursday (January 2 - 31, 2019).
January is the National "Learn a Snow Sport Month" that Massanutten is celebrating by offering our popular 4-Hour Pathway Package for only $76. Additional Pathway Program details available here.

  • 4-Hour Slope-Use Ticket
  • 4-Hour Equipment Rentals 
  • 2 one-hour beginner group lessons. Must be at least 7 years old to participate in a group lesson.

Monday Night Madness 
Each Monday night (4 - 9 pm) from January 7 through February 25, 2019, ski or ride at Massanutten and contribute to a local charity. 

  • Night Slope-Use Ticket  |  $20
  • Night Equipment Rentals  |  $20
  • A free beginner group lesson at 5 or 6 pm. Must be 7 years old to participate in a group lesson.

Snow Sports Scouts Day
Bring your Scout Troop and their family members to Massanutten for a fun-filled day on the slopes on Sunday, December 16, 2018 or Sunday, March 3, 2019. Valid for an 8-Hour Session. Scout Days Package is only $60 and includes:

  • 8-Hour Slope-Use Ticket
  • 8-Hour Equipment Rentals 
  • A one-hour beginner group lesson. Must be 7 years old to participate in a group lesson
  • Helmet (while supplies last)

Heroes on the Hill Ski Day
March 10, 2019 | FREE slope-use ticket with any valid military ID!

  • Active, Non-Active, Veterans, and their dependents receive a slope-use ticket (up to 4 passes total). Must present valid Military ID for discount. Discount not applicable for snow tubing, rentals, or lessons. Not to be combined with any other offer. Please call 540.289.4954 with any questions.

Anyone can tube on Tuesdays for $15 per person.

Student, Military, & Gold Card Days  |  Wednesday & Thursday
Students from any school showing an ID (report card, picture ID), Military members with ID, and Massanutten Gold Card members with ID can tube for $15 per person.

Ski Season Kickoff Party

October 20 & 21, 2018
Winter isn’t here just yet, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t dreaming of snow covered slopes already. Join us for the first-ever 2018/19 Ski Season Kickoff Party on October 20-21, 2018 for special discounts on gear from Freestyle Ski & Board Shop, General Store sidewalk sale, scenic chairlift rides, exclusive season pass bonuses, and a job fair with part-time and full-time positions available.

5th Annual SheJumps Get the Girls Out at the Nut
January 20 | 10 am - 4 pm
In partnership with K2 and SheJumps, Massanutten Resort is hosting the 5th Annual “Get the Girls Out at the Nut” on January 20th, 2018 for International Women’s Ski Day. Women of all ages and abilities are invited to celebrate skiing, snowboarding, and the power of female camaraderie by having fun on and off the mountain! Instructors and lessons will be available for participants to learn techniques to safely navigate the mountain. SARA/USSA – U16-21 SL & GS
January 20-21 | 8:30 am
Southern Alpine Racing Association (SARA) is a youth ski racing league affiliated with USSA. All racers must be a member of USSA to enter a SARA race. Race entry opens at approximately 8:00am, 2 weeks prior to the race closing date. Online race entry for SARA members is provided through Youth League. Check or cash race payments are made on race day during onsite registration.

Operation Freedom Outdoors
February 16-18 | FREE adaptive ski event hosted by Therapeutic Adventures.
Therapeutic Adventures, a local non-profit, is conducting Operation Freedom Outdoors to serve veterans from Hunter-Holmes McGuire Veterans Hospital. This premier event is aimed at providing disabled military - adaptive athletes who have a wide variety of mobility-related disabilities (spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, blind/visual impairments) an opportunity to receive adaptive skiing/snowboarding instruction. This promises to be a great weekend of adaptive skiing, fellowship, and reunion to honor those who have served.
