Private Lessons

All Ages (Only option for ages 6 & under)

If individual attention is what you crave, take to the slopes with your own personal coach! All ages and abilities welcome. Ages 6 & under may not be combined with other ages. Ages 6 & under need their own instructor. Reservations required.

Slope-use tickets & equipment rentals are additional. Please view slope-use tickets & equipment rental prices here. Reminder: It is very important that you arrive 60 minutes in advance of your lesson. Please plan ahead and arrive on time. All guests must have a valid slope-use (season pass or daily ticket) and equipment (rentals or personal gear) to take a lesson.

Required Lesson Waiver

All guests will be required to complete a waiver prior to their lesson. Each guest aged 18 and older must complete their own waiver. Minors under age 18 will need to have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Click here.

The Learning Center at Massanutten Resort

Location & Arrival

Location: Massanutten Learning Center @ 4620 Massanutten Drive

Park in tiered parking lots. Check into the Learning Center at least 60 minutes prior to the lesson start time. Allow extra time to find parking.

Lesson Time & Length

Lesson Times: 9 am, 10:15 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:30 pm & *5 pm. *5 pm lesson is based on availability and not available to book online (walk up only). Not available Sunday - Thursday.

Private lessons are booked in one-hour increments.

Slope-Use Ticket

Private lesson does not include a slope use-ticket. Please purchase your slope-use ticket here for ages 7+. Slope-use tickets for 6 and younger are complimentary. These will be given at lesson check-in. A slope use ticket is required. Rentals are purchased in-person.

Rentals

Private lesson does not include rental equipment. Please purchase your rental equipment online here.

After check-in at the Learning Center, you will be directed to the rental shop to pick up your purchased rental equipment. This includes skis or a snowboard with bindings, boots and a helmet. Rentals do not include jackets, snow pants, goggles, or gloves. Please come dressed for your lesson.

Save time & pick-up your rental equipment for the next day from 6 - 8 pm on Friday - Monday and holidays or 2 - 4 pm on Tuesday - Thursday.

Cancellation Policy

Snow sports lessons may be cancelled or modified, as availability allows, up to 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson time will only receive a 50% refund for cancelled lessons. Submit a cancellation request here.

No refunds will be given for requests made after the start of the lesson. If you are late for your lesson and the lesson needs to be moved to a different time, a fee of $25 will be applied.
