Our 3-hour Pathway Package is a perfect first time experience. This program includes trail-use, bike rental, and a 75 minute lesson from our ride school. Pathway riders are limited to the lower beginner and intermediate trails which are ideal for honing bike skills. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early. No reservations required.
*Bike rental includes a full face helmet, knee/shin pads, and elbow pads.
*Renter is responsible for all damage done to bike while it is in their possession unless insurance is purchased at the time of the rental.

Dirt Groms is a 3 hour program with everything your child needs for an awesome time in the Bike Park. This program includes 3-Hour trail-use ticket, 3-Hour bike rental, and 3 hours of professional coaching from our ride school. This is a youth specific program geared towards kids, no parents necessary.

Mini Groms is a 90 minute program with everything your child needs for an awesome time in the Bike Park. This program includes a 90 minute trail-use ticket, 90 minute bike rental, and a 90 minute lesson from our ride school. This is a youth specific program geared towards kids, no parents necessary. Mini Grom riders are limited to the Lift 4 Beginner and Intermediate trails.

Optimize your Bike Park experience with your own personal professional mountain bike guide from Massanutten's Ride School. Our Ride School instructors are certified to teach skills while showing you around the trail system. Private lessons are perfect for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert level riders. Students will receive a personally tailored skills-based lesson designed to fit the student based on their goals, riding experience, and bike handling abilities.
Private lessons and guide rates are $50 per hour or $25 per hour per additional person (additional students must be of similar riding ability). Private lessons and guide rates do not include rental equipment or lift ticket. Walk-in private lessons are available based on instructor availability. Reservations recommended.

- A downhill or freeride bike in good working order with disc brakes and front suspension (rear suspension recommended). It’s always a good idea to have your bike inspected by a qualified mechanic if you’re unsure of its condition. Top of the line Trek Session, Trek Remedy, and Transition RipCords are available for rent at the Bike Shop.
- Personal Bike Requirements: 24”-29” wheels, 3.5” tire width max, disc brakes, front suspension required, and rear suspension recommended.
- A full face helmet certified for downhill biking. Rentals available.
- Knee and elbow pads. Rentals available.
- Mountain bike goggles or athletic style glasses.
- Shin pads.
- Mountain biking specific shoes or light hiking shoes/boots (no sandals).
- Gloves: Gloves can be your best friend if you happen to take a spill out on the trails. There’s nothing fun about having a patroller pick little bits of gravel out of your palms.
- Clothing: It’s best to be prepared for any possible weather conditions, this includes cool & windy, hot & humid, wet or dry. Bike specific shorts offer the best abrasion protection. Long sleeves and pants can provide better protection from weather and abrasion, but aren’t required. While many shorts can be cotton blends for durability, most people prefer synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon, or lightweight wool for tops / jerseys because of their better breathing and moisture management properties. A lightweight rain jacket is also a good article to keep on hand.
