Day 1: Settle Into Mountain Time

Welcome to Massanutten! Once you’ve checked in and settled into your accommodations, stretch your legs with an easy walk along one of the resort’s shorter nature trails. Take in the quiet winter woods and mountain scenery, then warm up over dinner at Campfire Grill. Try one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, like the skillet-baked cornbread, pair it with one of their signature cocktails, and ease into a slower pace for the week.

Day 2: Relax, Recharge & Play

Spend the morning at The Spa at Massanutten with a massage, facial, or other relaxing treatment, or book a couples massage and enjoy the experience side-by-side. In the afternoon, head to Perfect Break for a round of virtual golf in one of the Topgolf Swing Suites, with food, drinks, and table service available right inside.

Finish the day at Elevations Cocktail Lounge, where you can settle in over signature cocktails and enjoy a relaxed evening together on the mountain.

Day 3: A Day Beyond the Mountain

Take the day to explore Luray Caverns, where the year-round 54-degree temperature makes winter a great time to head underground. See Dream Lake, the Cathedral, and the Great Stalacpipe Organ, then stop at Elkton Brewing Co. on the way back toward Massanutten for a local beer before returning to the resort.

Day 4: Something Creative, Something Outdoors

Start the morning with a Massanutten Select class, choosing from options like yoga, pottery making, canvas painting, a build-your-own terrarium workshop, or a relaxing sound bath. Grab lunch on-site, then head out for a guided horseback ride and take in the mountain’s quiet winter scenery from the trail.

Tonight, keep things cozy with dinner in the condo, pour a drink, and settle in for a game or movie night together.

Day 5: A Taste of the Shenandoah Valley

Spend the afternoon exploring a little more of the Shenandoah Valley. Head to CrossKeys Vineyards for a wine tasting and Blue Ridge views, stop in nearby Elkton for a local brew, or venture into downtown Harrisonburg for a glass of cider at Sage Bird Ciderworks or a craft beer at Pale Fire Brewing Co. Pair your stop with dinner nearby, then make your way back to the mountain.

Day 6: Indoor Pool Time & Ice Skating

Start the morning at an easy pace with some time at the Fitness & Rec Club, whether that means a swim, a soak, or simply taking advantage of the indoor amenities. Later, head outside for a few laps around the seasonal ice rink and enjoy another winter afternoon on the mountain.

That evening, check the resort event calendar and see what lines up with your stay. Depending on the night, you might catch the Friday Torch Parade, a comedy show, karaoke, live music, or another seasonal event around the resort.

Day 7: One Last Mountain Morning

Take one last walk along one of Massanutten’s shorter nature trails and enjoy the quiet winter scenery before checking out. If your route takes you through Harrisonburg, stop for lunch at a local favorite like Magpie Diner or Bella Luna Wood-Fired Pizza on your way home.
