2022 Event Features

Massanutten Resort is proud to present to you Summer Jam 2022! The event will feature live music, kids' activities, beer & wine, food trucks, and fireworks around 10 pm! All proceeds benefit the Rockingham/Harrisonburg SPCA.

Food Vendors: Big Fat Daddy's, Bayou Kitchen, K's Grill, Kona Ice, Urgie's Cheesesteaks, and Vova's Kettle Corn. 

Kids' Activities: Featuring corn hole boards, big jenga, big connect 4, hula hoops, and more! Fun & games supported by White Cat Ha! include henna tattoo, face and body painting, tarot card readings, sensory toys for kids, seated massages, and more! Find out more at: www.whitecatha.com. Plus Beards & Broads will be offering axe throwing!

Don’t miss the flying of our nation’s colors and the National Anthem at 6:40 pm!

Beer & Wine Garden brought to you by Molson Coors, Blue Ridge Beverage, and CrossKeys Vineyards.

The beer line up will feature Coors Light, Miller Lite, Blue Moon, Blue Moon Haze, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Peroni, Hop Valley Bubble Stash IPA, Simply Spiked Lemonade Cans, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Samuel Adams Summer Ale, Truly Wild Berry Draft, Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider, Twisted Tea Draft, and Dogfish Head Canned Cocktails. Beer tickets will be $5 each.

Please remember your SPF’s and sun hats. Also small shade umbrellas are permitted in designated areas that do not block others views.

There have been multiple reports of people trying to pose as hosts or vendor hosts of festivals held at Massanutten Resort claiming there are additional spaces available. They are then requesting payment for those spaces through PayPal. Massanutten Resort and partners do not request payment for vendor spots in this fashion. Please do not fall for this scam. The WildFlowers | 8:30 - 10 pm

The international touring band The Wildflowers are America’s #1 tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

“Who doesn’t love Tom Petty?” bassist Darryell Stone asked himself one day in 2012 while listening to the radio. There was only one answer he could imagine, “Nobody.” Testing his hypothesis, Stone polled friends, family and fellow musicians how they felt about Petty. The result was always the same. Everyone loves Tom Petty.

Jump ahead 100 shows and The Wildflowers have become one of the most popular tribute shows across the southeast US, and quickly gaining recognition in other regions. Equipped with decades of experience and a passion for Tom Petty’s magic way with songs, The Wildflowers bring music lovers of all stripes what they adore.

TC Carter | 6:45 - 8 pm

From the time he was four years old, in the hills of Patrick County, VA, rhythm, blues, and a whole lot of soul has been running through lead guitarist, TC Carter's veins. With the help of his mother, Della Carter, he would become a child prodigy in rhythm and blues on the lead guitar. Coming from a long line of musicians before his time, TC Carter was born to play the guitar.

Several months back, Carter made the leap of faith to start a blues band. He called on his cousin who is more like a brother Antwan Glenn, long-time best friend Brandon Penn, and even convinced his wife Chelsey Carter to help pull this act together. Since then, the band has been unified in spirit to complete the common goal of spreading the love of music far and wide. With Glenn on the drums, Penn on the bass guitar and wife Chelsey singing vocals, the TC Carter band plans to make its stance in the Blues Music Industry.

Brisk | 5 - 6:15 PM

Brisk is a 90’s rock and alternative band based out of Fredericksburg, VA. The band consists of John Barnes on drums, Eddie Dickerson on fiddle, and Mark Euker on vocals and acoustic guitar. The talented Chelsea Cameron adds female vocals for another flavor of Brisk!!! Rounding out the powerhouse is Ryan Persinger, bad ass, bass player out of NoVA!!

Brisk has made their name by curating an expansive repertoire of popular hits as well as deeper cut tracks from some of the most iconic and influential 90’s bands.

With unique instrumentation and a variety of supporting musicians that can jump in, Brisk can bring you anything from Green Day and 311 to No Doubt and Pink, as well as all of your favorites with a Bluegrass flare. The unique arrangement of instruments simultaneously takes us back in time and make us stop and stare at the artistry occurring in real time that has stirred up quite a buzz all throughout Virginia and Maryland.

Festival Tips

Festival Tips

• Limited parking is available for free in the ski area parking lots, however these lots will fill up fast. Please plan to park elsewhere and/or walk to the event, carpool, or use a ride/cab service. Parking along roadways and illegal parking will not be tolerated.
• You may experience long vendor lines and wait times. Please be patient and plan accordingly.
• Please bring your own chairs, blankets, or camp chairs. Festival chairs, blankets, and camp chairs with built-in shade awnings that do not obstruct the view of other festival-goers are allowed. No pop-up tents or umbrellas permitted.
• Please do not bring in food, drinks, drugs, pets, or weapons of any kind.
• You may bring in one unopened, sealed bottle of water.
• Food/beverages are not included in ticket price. Some kids' activities may have a small fee.
• Beer & wine last pour is at 9:45 pm.
• Fireworks will last 10 or so minutes. The best view of the fireworks finale at 10 pm will be near the ski lodge and Lift 4 when inside the festival grounds.
• This is a rain or shine fundraising event. Tickets are not refundable.
• In case of rain, the Ski Lodge can be used for shelter. No alcohol permitted in Lodge.
• Our area weather forecast is not always 100% accurate due to mountains and valleyes. Feel free to reach out or check your favorite weather sites by using zip code 22840.
• Trash and recycling bins will be available throughout the event grounds. Please help keep Massanutten a Green Community!
