Welcome to Massanutten! Once you’ve checked in and settled into your accommodations, ease into your first afternoon with a few laps around the seasonal outdoor ice rink. Whether the kids are learning to skate or already finding their footing, it’s an easy way to get outside, enjoy the winter mountain setting, and start a great weekend together.

Dinner: Campfire Grill

Warm up with dinner at Campfire Grill, where the family can settle in for wood-fired pizza, burgers, and other hearty favorites. If you’re sharing, try one of Campfire’s signature dishes, like the skillet-baked cornbread, for the table before heading back to your accommodations for a laid-back first night.

Day 2: Snow Tubing & Family Fun

Morning: Waffle Hut & Snow Tubing

Start the morning with warm, delicious waffles at Massanutten's Waffle Hut near Base Camp before heading to the tubing hill. With 16 lanes and 900 feet of snowy runway, tubing gives everyone a chance to get out on the snow without needing any ski or snowboard experience. Race down together, then let the conveyor lift handle the trip back to the top for another run.

Afternoon: Escape Rooms

After a morning outside, warm up indoors with one of Massanutten’s escape rooms. Choose between Singularity, Pharaoh’s Revenge, or Knights of the Golden Horseshoe, then work together to uncover clues, crack codes, and see if the family can solve the room before time runs out.

Evening: Live Entertainment

Keep the evening flexible and check the resort event calendar to see what’s happening during your stay. Weekends often bring live music at Base Camp, while comedy shows, family-friendly events, and other seasonal activities add even more ways to keep the fun going after dinner.

Day 3: A Keepsake to Take Home

Before Checkout: Build-A-Bear at The Market

Before packing up for home, stop by The Market and let the kids create a stuffed friend to take home from their mountain weekend. They’ll get to help bring it to life and leave with a keepsake from their time at Massanutten.
