Spring is a good time to slow down and enjoy a few days together in the Shenandoah Valley. This three-day getaway pairs a round of golf and a local wine tasting with good food, a little creativity, and time to enjoy the mountain in between. Use this itinerary as is to plan your getaway, or use it as inspiration to build your own spring weekend together.
Afternoon: Massanutten Select Class
Welcome to Massanutten! Once you’ve checked in and settled into your accommodations, ease into the weekend with a Massanutten Select class. Choose something that sounds good to both of you, whether that’s pottery making, canvas painting, a build-your-own terrarium workshop, or a relaxing sound bath.
Dinner: Campfire Grill
Settle in at Campfire Grill for wood-fired pizza, steaks, burgers, and other hearty favorites paired with a signature cocktail or local craft beer. If the spring weather is nice, grab a seat outside by the fire on the deck and enjoy an easygoing first evening on the mountain.

Morning: Golf
Spend the morning on the greens and choose between Massanutten’s two 18-hole championship courses, Mountain Greens or Woodstone Meadows. Tee off with Blue Ridge views in the distance, fresh spring scenery around every turn, and plenty of time to settle into a full round together. When you’re finished, stop by Bogey’s Snack Bar at the Golf Pro Shop for a casual bite before moving into the afternoon.
Afternoon: White Oak Lavender Farm & Purple WOLF Vineyard
Spend the afternoon just off the mountain at White Oak Lavender Farm & Purple WOLF Vineyard. Explore the farm, browse the shop, then settle in for a tasting of local wine with the Blue Ridge as your backdrop.
Evening: Dinner in Downtown Harrisonburg
Make an evening of downtown Harrisonburg with dinner at a local favorite like Bella Luna Wood-Fired Pizza or Magpie Diner, then take a little time to wander downtown before returning to Massanutten.
Before Checkout: Short Nature Walk
Take one last easy walk along one of Massanutten’s shorter nature trails and enjoy the fresh spring greenery before checking out. If you have time to linger on the way home, stop for brunch or lunch in Harrisonburg and stretch the getaway just a little longer.
